A very rocky part of the beach in Durban
Onto our fourth week in Durban, and enjoying the time to be able to relax. But now the push is on to see Sven's Visa come through. We've just received everything we need and Sven's finishing filling out all the forms to be able to post it out and wait for the reply. We'd appreciate prayer in seeing it come through smoothly and quickly.
Mozambique:
We just got back from a great week in Mozambique! I officially have become addicted to Calamari, even more than my recently found love for avocados :) Bit of an expensive craving, but definitely a good way to remember our holiday there! It started our a bit rough as the truck wouldn't start after we'd just packed up and were ready to go. Because it was so late by the time it was fixed (and therefore couldn't get through the Mozambique boarder because it closed at 5pm) we spent the night in the African bush at a lovely resort and the next day headed off to Mozam. We were in a place called Pont de Ouro, staying in a beautiful log cabin just a board walk down to the beach.Though the weather was quite cool, we were in the water every day. There's quite a fun little inlet there where you can SUP (stand up paddle board) quite easily in the incredible warm clear water! One day we rented quads and raced around the sandy roads and the rest of the time just hung out together. Great times for sure!
Andrea's speaking opportunity:
Last night I had a great opportunity to share at a Discipleship group at Sven's church on Prophetic Art. I felt God's leading talk about the many different ways that God wants to use our passions, abilities and gifts. The main scripture I took from was: 1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God." We had a great time looking together at how we're all creative - which doesn't mean we're all artists, it just means we're created in the image of the best Artist ever, and therefore we too are creative! God challenged us to take that scripture and put it into practice in our daily lives by taking opportunities to glorify God by sharing His love with others. We finished off the night by making Visual Testimonies (Easy to use, on hand story of your life. One side of a paper being who you were before you met Christ, and the other side; who you are now.) And the group looks forward to using them on their weekly evangelism times.
Plans:
Like I said, we're now pushing for the visa, but also being able to spend time with as many people here as possible. We'll be doing an information/fundraising night soon and who knows what else will come up - looking forward to some more fun adventures!
Thanks for reading!
Lots of love,
The Leisegangs
